Welcome to the Spring edition of CoPilot Navigator, the quarterly newsletter for CoPilot Live navigation customers.
The tough economic climate is at the forefront of everyone's minds, and in this issue we are highlighting ways in which CoPilot can help with the belt-tightening.
Happily though, the Bank Holiday season is here - the perfect opportunity to hit the road (with CoPilot of course) and get away for a long weekend or two.

We'd all like to save money in the economic downturn, and there are a number of ways where CoPilot might be able to help. Using CoPilot Live 7*, here's how...

1) Optimise stops. CoPilot can work out the most efficient way around multiple stops. How? From the CoPilot menu, choose 'Plan/Edit Trip'. Select 'Add Stop' to enter your various destinations. Once you have entered all your stops, press Optimise to work out the route to take

2) Fuel cost indicator. CoPilot can calculate the cost of the petrol needed for a trip. How? Enter a destination in the usual way. At the route preview screen, select 'Edit' then 'Options'

3) Choose fastest route. According to the Energy Saving Trust, the most fuel-efficient way is to drive smoothly at a speed of around 45-50mph. CoPilot's 'fastest' routing favours larger roads where you will be more likely to maintain a constant, more fuel-efficient speed. How? From the CoPilot menu choose 'Settings' then 'Routing'

4) Avoid tolls. You can plan routes that avoid toll roads using CoPilot - particularly useful when travelling abroad. How? From the CoPilot menu choose 'Settings' then 'Routing'

5) London Congestion Charge alerts. CoPilot can plan a route that avoids the London Congestion Charge Zone. If your destination is in the Zone, CoPilot can alert you, so you won't forget to pay! How? From the CoPilot menu choose 'Settings' then 'Routing'
* For previous versions of CoPilot please refer to the CoPilot user manual for instructions.
